Strategic planning and project development

Biodiversité Conseil provides technical assistance in planning and project development, including:

  • clear and concise description of the project objectives;
  • the strategic context;
  • the project description summary, including costs and implementation arrangements;
  • the project rationale, describing alternative approaches considered to identified problems, lessons learned from previous operations
  • Key aspects of the proposed project:

    • Economic analysis, confirming the economic soundness of the proposed project.
    • Financial analysis, confirming its financial viability.
    • Technical analysis.
    • Institutional analysis.
    • Environmental analysis
    • Participatory analysis.
Francis Staub also attended a training on the "Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation". The Open Standards bring together common concepts, approaches, and terminology in conservation project design, management, and monitoring in order to help practitioners improve the practice of conservation. We have developed these Open Standards so that they can be applied at any geographic, temporal, or programmatic scale.
